Automatic drawing is very much like the drawings which result while you speak on the telephone (the brain is concentrated elsewhere!) I start with an arbitrary line (often in china ink), ... and my hand continues by itself,... The result always astonishes me. Many of these drawings are on paper made by myself, and coloured with aquarelle.
